Maxine is ya girl! Last summer, I got the wild idea to do something vivid. A coworker recommended the salon and after researching stylist profiles, I decided Maxine was the right fit. I was a little nervous because the last time I tried vivid colors, it wasn’t quite what I wanted. After the consultation, I felt confident that I was in the right place. I’m pretty reserved at first, so I was a little nervous going in for the first time for such a big appointment. The whole experience felt completely natural! Maxine instantly felt like an old friend. She’s super easy to talk to and there were never any awkward silences or pressure to find something to talk about. I’ve been back several times now for both touch ups and total makeovers, and feel completely comfortable giving her creative freedom if she has an idea that might make it *pop* more. I also tend to go months between appointments, which often leaves people in disbelief - with amazing aftercare tips and quality products, my hair stays healthy and I still get compliments 6 months later!

 I like to call her the blonde whisperer because that is truly her specialty. I was desperate to find somebody a few months ago when I was looking for a new stylist who really knew what they were doing with blondes, and she has been an angel to me. So if you are a blonde and you are in the Lakeland area, I highly recommend going to check her out. I always leave with my hair feeling so much softer than when I go in.

I don't know what kind of voodoo magic she works, but it's so good. She always lets me know which products to use, hair care to do, and how to actually maintain it. Plus, we just have the best time. So if you're looking for a new stylist in Lakeland, and particularly if you are somebody with blonde or bright colors or you're ready for a big transformation, I highly, highly recommend her.

Maxine was so kind during our entire interaction. I left a note when making my appointment that I had gotten a haircut from a different salon with uneven layers. She took the time to look at my inspiration video and did her best to save as much length of my hair as possible. She customized the cut so that it suited my features and face shape. I appreciated her patience as well as her diligence when fixing my hair. I am in love with the result and have gotten so many compliments from people saying how well my new hair cut suits me. I would recommend Maxine to anyone, especially if you want help finding a style that best suits you!

I found Maxine over a year ago after a bad haircut left me feeling stuck. I saw a review about how she turned someone’s hair around and figured I had nothing to lose. I walked in cold and left knowing I had found my new salon and person. She didn’t just fix the cut. She helped me grow it out with intention. Maxine listens, she explains what she’s doing, and she actually takes her time. I never feel rushed or like I’m just another haircut. Maxine is talented, down-to-earth, and consistent in all the best ways. I trust her completely and always walk out of her chair feeling like the best version of me. Love that the salon is warm, relaxed, and real. You walk in and instantly feel like you belong. It’s the kind of place where you can show up as yourself, messy hair and all, and still feel seen and taken care of.

Maxine is the only person I will allow to work on my hair! I drove all the way from WA state to pay a visit to my hometown and HAD to get a new haircut from Maxine to refresh my style for the new year. She always takes into consideration exactly what I want with my hair, and treats it so well. She gives the BEST head massages during wash. I love getting my hair done by her because she always makes it look perfect by taking into account the qualities and curves of my natural hair. She is very experienced and knowledgeable of different hair types and techniques. What’s awesome about my last visit is trying out the K18 hair treatment to restore my hair. The location she provides her services is also REGAL as heck and makes you feel like you’re getting your haircut in Paris! Curly Hair Journey - Haircut

Maxine is absolutely amazing. For years I had been going to someone who did not know how to appropriately cut curly hair- visiting Maxine was definitely a much needed hair rehab. In one cut she was able to fix someone else’s terrible job- AND I didn’t have to sacrifice my length in order to accomplish healthy/vivacious hair. She’s phenomenal- 10/10 highly recommend.
